  4.  Welcome to Lexicon, the word
  5.  game that tests your vocabulary!
  6.  
  7.  There are three sub-games in 
  8.  Lexicon:
  9.  
  10. Shuffle
  11.  Slide tiles around to make words. 
  12.  Each move counts against the 
  13.  clock.
  14.  
  15. Shuffle-Clocked
  16.  Beat the Clock! Moving doesn't
  17.  count against you.
  18.  
  19. Crash
  20.  Swap tiles and try to clear the 
  21.  board!
  22.  Bonus for clearing the board
  23.  completely.

  26. The Board:
  27.  
  28.  Lexicon has an 8X8 tile playing
  29.  board.  Touch and drag letter
  30.  tiles to spell words.
  31.  
  32.  Below the tiles are 
  33.   the clock, 
  34.   the Discard Box,
  35.   the Score,
  36.   the current Bonus Word and 
  37.   the Best Word.

  39.  At the bottom are the buttons: 
  40.   Quit, New, Pause and Mute.

  43. Game Play:

  45.  The game starts with the board
  46.  full of tiles.
  47.  
  48.  In Shuffle, the tiles automatically
  49.  slide under the stylus as you drag.  
  50.  Lift the stylus to drop a tile at the
  51.  desired location.

  53.  In Crash, touch and drag a tile the
  54.  same way. When you drop it, it
  55.  swaps places  with the tile at that
  56.  location.
  57.  
  58.  When you spell words, they will
  59.  flash and disappear, showing their
  60.  score.
  61.  
  62.   Got a letter you can't use?  
  63.   Just drag it to the discard box.
  64.   You get another for free.
  65.   But don't do it too often!
  66.   You only get three chances.

  68.  Keep playing until you get stuck,
  69.  or until you win the level.

  71.  Quit stops the game and gives
  72.  your score. In crash, letters left on
  73.  the board count against your
  74.  score!

  76.  Touch Quit again to return to the
  77.  main menu.

  79.  New abandons the game and
  80.  starts a new game at level 1.

  82.  Pause stops the clock. Touch it
  83.  again to continue.

  85.  Mute turns off sound. Touch it
  86.  again to get sounds back.

  89. Scoring:

  91.  Valid words can be left-to-right or
  92.  top- to-bottom, but not diagonal.
  93.  No plurals, past tenses or other
  94.  inflections allowed.

  96.  So lovely is ok, but not lovelies,
  97.  lovelier or loveliest.

  99.  No proper names allowed.

  101.  Longer words count:

  177.  If you spell the Bonus Word, it
  178.  counts 10X its normal score!
  179.  Then a new bonus word is
  180.  chosen.

  183.  game is shown under "Best Word".

  190.  Lexicon can load skins, and can
  191.  use different dictionaries.

  194.  skins!

  196.  Skins change the appearance of

  199.  Sounds can be changed.

  201.  The bonus word list is
  202.  configurable.

  216.  dictionary of American English.
